Higby Traprock Ridge

regional mapThis area is characterized by a traprock ridge system that continues south to New Haven and Long Island Sound. The ridge is made of “basalt” rock, and the unique ecosystem that it creates is home to a community of flora and fauna not found elsewhere in Middletown.
